How many years of bad luck?
Mom and Dad arrived back from Utah on Saturday, and I’ve been meaning to post an update on the guest bath and other projects — watch for that coming soon. But first, this morning’s escapades:
I was sorting things out in the garage for the garbage man, including dragging the tub to the curb. The old mirror from the bathroom had been leaning against the tub, so I “walked” it over to my car, and then moved the old cabinets (which the Lahertys are going to take for their barn) over so I could lean the mirror back against them. I guess the mirror flexed too much as I was walking it back, because it broke into a zillion pieces. It’s not the end of the world, as I had only planned on selling it on Craig’s List, which seemed more hassle than it’s worth. But it was a lovely mess to clean up this morning… and it was only about a third of the glass, so I still have to break the rest in a controlled fashion.
And hopefully my first bit of bad luck is not a flat tire!

And then the little glass pieces were picked up by a nearby black cat, crossing Beth’s path. Beth turned around, walked under a ladder, and returned to the interior, where she opened an umbrella. Back to the barn in Utah, luckless lass.
