Going topless, year round
I got my convertible four years ago this month, and I have managed to drive it with the top down at least one day every month (except January 2008 when it just never got nice). My rule is usually 50 degrees with no precip. If you bundle up, turn on the bun warmers and blast the heater, it’s quite enjoyable, and the fresh air in February is exhilarating.
The last three days in Indy have been positively perfect for topless driving — blue skies, bright sunshine and gorgeous leaf colors on the trees. It’s the kind of weather that makes me happy to be alive. So far, I can’t see a down side to global warming! (Kidding!)
Look for a post soon all about my adventures in orienteering at Eagle Creek Park yesterday. It was a blast! I’m waiting on a photo or two from our guide…

Would you call what Myra’s team did “disorienteering”?

Down here in Texas we go topless 12 months of the year as well. The difference – when it’s 105 in August we blast the AC. And wear a hat. And 60 SPF sunscreen.
Lemme know how that convertible of yours handles in snow and ice, eh?
