Apparently, I’ve been shopping in Australia
Just got home after a 14-hour day of client meetings and projects that are consuming my life (my currently busiest client Don said to me today, “This’ll look pretty good on your resume, won’t it, rolling out a logo for a company our size?” I said, “Either that or my tombstone!” He laughed and then checked to make sure the windows in my office don’t open.)
So, I get my mail and am thrilled (NOT) to see my credit card bills. It was weird, though, because one was for a credit card I haven’t used in about eight months. As I was walking into my house, my brain was trying to figure out why I might have gotten a bill from them. I figured maybe I accidentally used that card instead of my now-preferred one. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and found a charge for $1,336 from “Seek Online Australia.” I have no idea what that is, but needless to say, I’ve called the company, shut the card down and registered a dispute for the charge. So far, the process has been smooth, but we’ll see if I get any grief later. If they want, they can check my passport — I haven’t left the country in years!
