The latest home improvement project
I’m constantly ripping up some part of my house and putting it back together again. Three years ago, Dad and I ripped out the kitchen and started all over. Two years ago, we built a deck during the rainiest, muddiest, coldest, June on record.
I’m currently working on my master bath, putting in a new Jacuzzi tub and plumbing that for a shower. Once that is done, the plan is to rip out my current shower stall and turn that into a linen closet, and then to replace the single-basin sink (in a six-foot vanity) with a double-basin sink. With a lot of help from my friend Bill, I’m finally making progress. Tonight I completed the supply plumbing and actually filled the tub and got the jets working! Now I just need to do the waste lines (easy PVC gluing) and then hang drywall and tile the surround. Yeah, “just”….

Check out those jets!

Colin, didn’t I use your truck to buy the sheetrock for my very first major project — finishing the garage at my house in Fishers? So you were there for the very beginning — ever since then, my attitude has been “well, how hard can it be?” The kitchen renovation included jackhammering up part of the kitchen floor in order to re-route some plumbing to a different wall!

Hi Beth,
Good idea. We just moved into a converted fire station. Loft style, huge windows, open floor plan. It has been a real project getting shades for 9′ x 12′ windows. We have a blog too but it invitation only becasue it has pictures of Zoe. Let us know if you want to be invited, no obligation! We look forward to reading more. Ann

The tub is very nice sweetie. I’d leave the enclosure just as it is!
Had fun at dinner last Monday.
Love,
UB

Hey Beth, I’m proud to know you. I think I’ve really accomplished something when I wallpaper a room, but you do it all! There’s something about that window over the tub – can you move it to the left a little? Or maybe replace it all together with a bigger one? How about some glassbrick? Just in case you need a few more ideas. Love you, AA
